About REIN
The Hampton Roads region of southeastern Virginia, from Williamsburg east to Virginia Beach and south across the North Carolina border, including Hampton, Newport News, York County, Gloucester and James City County. REIN states its service area reaches from northeastern North Carolina up to Richmond.
Founded in 1969 as Metro MLS, REIN is owned and governed by its broker-stockholder members rather than a REALTOR® association. As of August 2026 it reported 728 broker firms, 859 offices and 8,355 licensees.

FAQ
Yes. IDX Broker covers Real Estate Information Network (REIN), and we connect REIN IDX on every site we build for agents, teams, and brokerages in Virginia and North Carolina. Buyers search live REIN listings on your site and register directly with you.
Usually, yes. Most MLSs, including REIN, issue IDX feeds through the broker of record, so your managing broker signs the IDX agreement. We prepare the paperwork and handle the request with IDX Broker.
Feed approval is set by REIN and often takes a few business days to a couple of weeks once your broker signs. We design and build your site in parallel, so approval rarely delays launch.
DMR websites start at $2,500 (templated), $3,500 (semi-custom), or $8,500 (fully custom), plus a $650 per 4 weeks retainer. IDX Broker's subscription and any REIN IDX fee are billed separately by those providers.
IDX Broker works with most website platforms, so in many cases we can. If your current site isn't generating leads, we'll recommend a rebuild instead, because the 14-day qualified-lead guarantee only comes with a DMR site.
Next step
Tell us your brokerage and market. We'll confirm your REIN IDX requirements and send a plan, pricing, and timeline, usually the same day.
